How long have you been working with plants and the natural world?
Around 30 years. I've been involved directly with education and school visits since 2000.
Why is helping to connect people and plants important to you?
Helping people appreciate plants and the natural world around them is important to me because if people can do that, there is more chance they will do things to look after the world around them.
Tell us about a project you're really proud to have been involved in.
I’m proud to have worked at the botanic garden since I was a young lad. Over the years we have developed the garden a great deal and seen it develop into a really interesting and diverse site enjoyed by a great deal of people.
Finally, what is your favourite plant?
Our old Monkey Puzzle tree in the middle of our garden.
