FREE pilot training opportunity
Calling all Botanic Garden Educators (BGEs) !
We are looking for 3 or 4 colleagues to join us at Kew on this exciting new pilot training course for Teachers and Educators on Inquiry Based Science Education, focussing on the topics of Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change.
Overall the course will entail 60 hours of work and is made up of 2 full days at Kew (October 5th and January 19th), 2 twilight sessions at Kew for the Botanic Garden Educators (4-7pm - in April or May 2012 ) + a 3 hour planning session and a delivery day to a selected school group of your choice in your own botanic garden. You will also need to do an assessment piece in your own study time.
We would be really excited if you can join us - 2012/13 and beyond, we would hope to see this course being run in more Botanic Gardens around the Uk - hopefdully with our participants running the course for their own garden. Our pilot courses (2011/12 and 2012/13) are free to participants, and we may even be able to find a bit of travel money to support your attendance.
